After about 2 years of fundraising and R&D our new drone finally arrived. It even passed its CAA inspection and is flight ready.

Now that our pilots had been trained, it was time to do some test flying out on the west coast of our own.

We teamed up with WWF to help us get moving on the funding front and get introduced to all the people in their network that wanted to help.

Flying one of these drones isn’t quite as easy as picking up a DJI controller. We had to send Hayley & Tane to visit JOUAV for training.

After proving we could use AI to detect Māui dolphins from footage, we needed to test the drone tech.
