We have been able to get back up in the air thanks to certification from the CAA, and the recent relaxations in COVID guidelines.
Our repaired / new drone has an additional 4K camera that takes 7FPS specifically designed for aerial surveys. The extended
resolution should allow to look at 400m wide of ocean at a time when detecting dolphins.
Every drone that is 25kgs or above needs to go through a special and regular certification process before it's allowed to fly, proving it’s safe to around people, boats and animals.
Our flight and inspection were all done while following COVID-19 restrictions. Only two people were limited to our team, and we were all masked up.
We had lots of people watch us on the beach going for their lockdown walks. We just want to say a big thank you to the locals who supported us and for being patient when our drone was taking off and landing.
