Flight Testing

After proving we could use AI to detect Māui dolphins from footage, we needed to ensure we had found a drone that could actually fly within the rough west coast Māui dolphin habitat.

Aerotech took us out to the beach to give us a demo of the JOUAV CW-20 which we later borrowed to do our test flying.
The CW20 unit we tested can fly for up to 4 hours at a time maintaining a speed of ~120kmh. Allowing us to cover a lot of ocean per flight! You’ll notice these amazing drones take off and land vertically like a normal drone but fly like an airplane. This allows us to navigate the high cliffs along the west coast easily, or even launch from a boat.

To be fair, this particular one was better than I expected.
First look, I thought it would be just another generic post, yet stayed longer than usual.
Could be the way it’s written that isn’t typical copy-paste, even though it’s simple.
Btw, I came across https://infowomenspace.com not long ago and felt kinda the same tone, like it’s not just SEO content.
A few points actually made sense, which is rare.
Not sure if it matters but, it didn’t feel like filler.
So yeah, appreciate this — probably will check more.
Probably see what else you have.
