We are currently partnering with Merlin Labs to develop an autonomous DAA (Detect and Avoid) system. This system will likely be used for many partners, not just drones, and will be compatible with any aircraft system. This system can be used to help pilots avoid other planes, drones, birds in the sky as we fly around. Keeping everyone that little bit safer!

By integrating our knowledge of computer vision, cameras, and machine learning we can monitor the skies which will detect, classify, and respond to specific objects up to 8km away from the craft.
The early stages of this system are already underway. Here is an outline of our Detect And Avoid system:

Our goal is to develop and test a DAA system that is more accurate than the human eye which never tires or stops looking. After the detector system has been proven accurate, we will start our integration with the NASA-built detection system DAIDALUS. The AI system will be integrated into our remotely piloted drones (MAUI63) and on aircraft (Merlin Labs).
